In the Begining...

Dinner is Done! With the frantic schedule that so many of us keep, those are comforting words. As the mother to three young girls I (Katie Moore) have always wanted to offer my family yummy, nutritious food that we could eat together as a family. I grew up in a home where dinner was always served at the kitchen table and dinner conversation was the time we caught up on the day’s events. Even in our busiest times, that was a tradition I wasn't willing to give up. I accomplished the task most evenings, but then I had to clean the kitchen, think of the next menu, shop and prepare all over again. Exhausting and time-consuming, huh?

I enjoy cooking and I always felt that cooking for my friends was fun and a way that I could care for them, in turn my friends and family usually enjoyed the meals. In the winter of 2009, I thought, maybe people that I don't know would like my meals as well, so via e-mail I offered to cook meals and deliver them to a few families in Katy. They said yes; spread the word and my little idea turned into a business. In the summer of 2009 I partnered with a friend, Kathleen Ram and we moved to “the kitchen” at 20660 Westheimer Parkway. It’s so much more fun with a friend and we can’t wait until our shop front is ready for you to stop by and visit.

It is our goal to make dinner time easy and fun again. We want you to enjoy a nutritious (no preservatives, additives and tons of fresh produce) meal with your family, have a little conversation (that's why we include a game), and have very little clean-up when it's all over. I do hope you recycle the containers as aluminum is the most valuable container to recycle; it is a sustainable metal and can be recycled over and over again. The plastic lids are recyclable too!
